Second Volume of T-pain “On Top of the Covers” Revealed by the Rapper

Good news for T-Pain fans as they can now enjoy another episode of his popular project From Last Year, On Top of the Covers, in which he covered other people’s songs to critical acclaim.

On Friday, April 26, at the Stagecoach Festival, the rapper made the news live on stage as a surprise guest during Jelly Roll’s performance. In addition to performing “All I Do Is Win” and “Buy U A Drank,” the duo paid respect to the late Toby Keith by performing a duet of his song “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.”

Jelly Roll performed a mix of hip-hop favorites, such as “Lose Yourself” and “Boyz N Da Hood,” to close out the show.

Tallahassee Pain released a seven-song EP aptly named On Top of the Covers on March 17, 2023, after announcing it in February of the same year.

T-Pain shocked fans by performing a wide range of covers, including songs by Journey, Chris Stapleton, Black Sabbath, Sam Cooke, and Sam Smith. He also asked NandoSTL, a recent signing to the Nappy Boy label, to sing a duet with him on a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s hit song “That’s Life.”
