Drake Drags 2pac and Snoop Dogg into Diss With Kendrick Lamar
With a second diss single in less than a week, and this time with some tech support, Drake has up the heat on Kendrick Lamar.
Less than a week after “Push Ups” appeared online, on Friday, April 19, the Canadian superstar escalated his battle with K.Dot by dropping a new song. While the veracity of his initial counterattack was long disputed, “Taylor Made Freestyle” brazenly embraces artificial intelligence, incorporating 2Pac and Snoop Dogg’s computer-generated voices to convey viewpoints beyond Drizzy’s, all while utilizing Drake’s original lyrics.

“But now we gotta wait a fucking week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top/ And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve/ This girl really ’bout to make you act like you not in a feud/ She tailor made your schedule with Ant, you out of the loop,” the 37-year-old raps, referencing Taylor Swift’s new album and TDE boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. He uses the perspectives of the two legends to pressure his opponent to respond.
In a livestream shortly after the song’s release, Akademiks disclosed that he had gotten a text from the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker that said, “Ak, you know I was trying to come off tour and relax.” My entire feng shui has been ruined by N-ggas.
Joe Budden Podcast host Antwan “Ish” Marby believes the Compton native is also prepared with a rebuttal, comparing its viciousness to that of 2Pac.
He discussed what his sources had told him about the upcoming clapback song on an edition of the podcast that debuted earlier this week.
