The footage revealed Sean “Diddy” Combs engaging in physical aggression towards his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The altercation, which included grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking, aligned with Cassie’s previous allegations in a federal lawsuit settled in November of that year. The compilation of footage from various camera angles, dated March 5, 2016, vividly depicted the rapper-mogul’s actions, causing shockwaves within the industry and beyond.
In his video statement, Diddy expressed genuine remorse for his behavior during what he described as a dark period in his life. He disclosed that he immediately sought therapy afterward.
