50 Cent Receives Great Honor After Opening his G-Unit Film & TV Studios
After establishing his G-Unit Film & TV Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, 50 Cent was given a day of recognition in the community.
During a ceremony on Thursday, April 18, Mayor Tom Arceneaux also gave 50 a ceremonial key to the city.
50 stated at the event, which was held in front of supporters: “It is an honor for me to appear before you here today, ladies and gentlemen, Mayor Tom Arceneaux and the amazing people of Shreveport.
“I am truly thrilled to present to you the growth of film and television through G-Unit Studios here in Shreveport, as someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television.”
On Instagram, the Power mogul expressed his admiration for the mayor, saying, “I spoke with Mayor Tom Arceneaux today and was really impressed with his energy. He really cares about people.” When politics are involved, I usually say, “Wait a minute, but I think he’s a whole good guy.” What the heck?
After sharing a photo from the event, in which a woman is seen holding up a placard that reads, “Ratchet City but no Diddy,” 50 Cent even took a jab at Diddy.
In order to use the movie studio as the headquarters for his rapidly expanding film and television production firm, 50 Cent leased it for 30 years last year.
It is anticipated that the studio’s renovation will boost employment growth, draw talent to the region, and support Shreveport’s general economic recovery.
